HelpingBrainz.Org (Regd.) is a weekend volunteer group which mainly focuses on Women and Child Empowerment, Nature Conservation, Peace, Elderly Care, Disaster Management, and Community Development. HelpingBrainz.Org believes that Social work is more than Philanthropy, showing Sympathy & Empathy, giving Donations. We encourage our fellow beings to use their skill sets for community, since we believe in Sir Isaac Newton’s 3rd law of motion.
- Founded by Yedhu Krishna Menon in Aug 2012 (name coined by Aavneet Singh Johar and Yedhu Krishna Menon) as a Facebook page.
- The website (an online portal about all our works) of HelpingBrainz.Org was launched on January 26th 2014, by 6 mothers from 6 different geographical regions.
- The present logo is designed by Ali Tanwir Abidi, a software-engineer based in Delhi.
- Registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882 by the Sub-Registrar’s Office at Janak Puri, New Delhi in August 2016.

We engage ourselves in conducting :
- Root cause analysis and gap analysis on social issues
- Market/ground research (sting operations) on the sprouting stations of the social issues
- Research, Case Studies on social issues
- Operational Research on human understandings (human psychology)
- Social discussions/Social movements on the collated reports and findings via Social Media, Experience Sharing Congresses in Schools, Colleges, Corporates and Community Gathering Centres
- Finding out ways to fix the same [ trouble shooting social issues ]
Achievements:
- Helping Brainz follows the guidance provided by ISO 26000. The adherence to guidance provided by ISO 26000 was audited and assessed by MacLead, Noida.
- Helping Brainz launched TheUnheardStory.Com, an online and monthly web magazine on 5th August 2020.
- Happily conceptualized and volunteered for 122 Social Development Events, 400+ Saturdays of Social Work, with a team of 600+ volunteers ensuring more than 10000+ smiles
- Invited and Selected by the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind as one of the 7 achievers who contributed towards the educational empowerment of the underprivileged children in India in Jan 2020
- Invited by Facebook India to attend a panel-discussion Civil-society Round-table at Facebook’s Delhi HQ (2019)
- Was invited by President of India’s office as one of the 9 NGOs in India in 2018 with whom President’s Press Secretary did hold a round table conference on social menaces and curbing steps (2018)
- Helping Brainz was invited to attend the conference on Water Crisis Management in Gurgaon (2018). Helping Brainz later on worked on the implementation of the (VEINS) Valuable and Eco-friendly Initiatives for Nature’s Sustainability.
- Helping Brainz was awarded with the “Green Community Champion Award 2018” by MetLife, US (2018)
- Was invited by Former US President Barack Obama to attend the first event of Obama Foundation in India (2017)
- Helping Brainz also received the Ameriprise Community Impact Award for 2016
- Was selected and nominated by UNESCO to attend the 3 days MIL program in 2016 in Punjabi University, Patiala.
- Was invited in the inaugural session of IWPG, Korea to speak about peace and change makers (2016)
Social and Community Development Initiatives undertaken by Helping Brainz:
- Supporting Elementary School Education, Donated School Stationery items and worked for the upliftment and cleanliness in various underpriviledged areas of Delhi NCR, Noida, Kurukshetra, Aurangabad, Siwan, Alappuzha and Meerut.
- Admission of Shabnam Bano, who was denied admission in a government school in Delhi (Helping Brainz worked with the Ministry of Women and Child Empowerment to accomplish this task).
- Ujjwal for ‘Children Without Parents’ from Romania and Kurukshetra;
- Ujjwal (an in-house developed Child Empowerment Event) for The Cancer Affected Children from Kottayam Medical College, Kottayam;
- Ujjwal for HIV affected kids from Meerut.
- Supporting 5 old age homes from Delhi, Kerala and Lucknow. Encouraging the youth to give back to the community.
- Conducted 5 International Cultural Congress with people from 20+ different countries and 2 Cultural Evening for Peace.
- 20+ Interns from 20 different countries to volunteer on International Peace.
- Conducted Women Experience Sharing Congress in Delhi, Meerut and Gurugram.
- Encouraged the school children from Noida and Aurangabad to give back to the community during Kerala floods.
- Transported Flood Relief Materials and Managed a virtual call center and database (60K data) in Kerala and Assam Flood’s rescue operations.
- Conducted 4 successful events for the Flood affected women, covering 105 women.
- Working for the upliftment of:
- Rural Gurgaon, with our first concentration on the “educating the students from the Government Schools at Sector 67, Gurgaon” with the help of a project called “Green and Blue VEINS”.
- Helping Brainz Green VEINS implemented in GBM Public School, Dwarka; Noida (Aster, Noida and Government School Bhaktavarpur, Noida). Students from Delhi University interning to manage the project in this school.
We work :
- Only on weekends as our team-mates are mainly Students, Engineers, Teachers, Professors/Lecturers , Govt.Servants and other Professionals.
