Legal security and Resiliency in the Cyber World
As per a study conducted in 2018, we have 5.15 billion unique mobile users. 91% of all social media users access social channels via mobile devices and 4.57 billion people around the world now use the internet, of those users, 346 million new users have come online within the last 12 months. That being said, the number of children using mobile devices has also increased given that all their educational curriculum is delivered through mobile devices, and they use the same to kill boredom and proportionally the cyber-crimes and cyber-attacks are also increasing exponentially among the children. Many of the students do not communicate this with us because of public fear and many parents become helpless on how to report this.
Some shocking stats:
- 6,96,938 Cyber security incidents reported from Jan-Aug 2020
- Cyber security incidents tripled to 3.5 lakh in July, August
- 59% of women faced harassment on social media
- 74,31,90,000 of internet users in India, as of September 2020
