Helping Brainz CHANGEMAKERS 2020

On 26th of January every year, Helping Brainz honours the change makers who made a difference by going an extra mile to help the needy, and the underprivileged. The pandemic and the lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19, in 2020 did hit every badly. However there were few, who selflessly made a difference helping the needy. Helping Brainz salutes all the change makers for being the brightest stars.

We would like to recognize Murshid Ali for his extensive support in terms of fundraising, organizing food supplies to the migrant travelers and the underprivileged from Malappuram, Noida and Panipat thus creating and spreading awareness on the same in the society. He also made his colleagues and friends aware about the need of giving back during the pandemic. Dinesh and his NGO Hamara Kartavy, has always stanced himself as a frontline for social causes, be it be child education, animal welfare or grocery distributions . Hamara Kartavy, was Helping Brainz partners for Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and East Delhi when it comes to food and groceries distributions, and for medicine distributions for the age old, underprivileged and the migrants, and has contributed eminently towards the same. Chandrajeet started volunteering in 2015 and believes in the equality in sharing privileges with the underprivileged. He stands out for his pre-eminent initiatives to help the migrants and the ones in need by organizing and distributing food supplies and essentials at times of hardship amidst the pandemic. Chandrajeet also extended his support in organizing medical aid for pregnant women and children during the emergency. During the Lockdown when the whole of India was struggling with pressing issues due to the pandemic, Sarah Kazmi realized the plight of needy. With all transport services shut down, she took matter into her own hands. By providing safe travel to the migrant travelers who were forced to travel on foot for thousands of miles. She also joined hands with like minded individuals in arranging and donating food and shelter for the migrants. She also provided legal assistance to the needy. In the great need of an hour amidst COVID-19 pandemic lockdown Jyoti took matters into her own hands and served migrant and underprivileged by arranging food for them. Jitesh is a renowned and President of India appreciated social worker from Delhi who is mainly into educational empowerment initiatives especially for the underprivileged kids from the South East Delhi's slums. These Slums were badly affected due to the pandemic. People lost jobs, the disease started penetrated in, kids stopped going to the schools, and here is were Jitesh even sold his household stuffs to make a difference and give back to the society. He ensured that nobody is left hungry and no one is left out being educated. Jitesh's NGO is called Bachpan Bachao Foundation, is an organization which has already made a big difference in South East Delhi locations.

Being a founder of an NGO, Vikash knew there is lot to be done during pandemic situation especially when it comes to the rural districts of Bihar. He was in the front at the ground for distributing food, groceries and providing shelter to the less fortunate and was a key member in spreading awareness and collecting funds for providing resource during unfortunate times. Through his NGO Pahal Ek Nai Soch, he started providing free education to more than 350+ underprivileged students from the marginalized communities of Jamui (a rural town in the Southern Bihar), and he strengthened his activities especially during the pandemic so that no one is left out without education.

Pandemic did hit everyone badly, especially when it comes to rural parts of the country because of lack of awareness. There are some exceptional changemakers who made a difference baring all odds. Bibek is an example for the same. He knew the hardships migrants travelling back to the North East and the underprivileged must be facing. So he lead by example and encouraged others to give back. He distributed free masks, medical supplies, arranged funds for food and shelter, and was a key member in assisting migrants for safe their travel to back to North East. His role in spreading awareness is praiseworthy.

Being a social worker and a socially responsible individual Peter Ngamlai knew that he had pivotal role to play during the pandemic and he did the same with great enthusiasm. He was a key member on ground for Helping Brainz in Chennai who volunteered for providing food, groceries and shelter to the migrants, needy and the underprivileged in various parts of Chennai during COVID-19 lockdown. He also encouraged his fellows to give back to the society and arranged funds and resources for the migrant travelers to travel back to the North East. His compassion and dedication has inspired many to give back to the community.
